Teignmouth, 1947 by Clifford and Rosemary Ellis
Clifford Ellis is remembered for his initiative in founding and establishing the Bath Academy of Art as one of the most influential art schools outside London. Less well known, however, is his work as an artist, notably the bold, colourful posters and book jackets which he designed with his wife Rosemary for clients such as London Transport and Collins publishers.
