Artist statement

The slightly amusing bit comes from the hen who has just run off with a prize leaf! I made the drawing last spring, whilst sitting in the garden watching my delicious rhubarb growing and with my little bantam hens running around. As soon as one finds a tasty leaf they have to run off with it before the others see! The seed packet on the left are the seeds that I was just about to sow for them!
