Artists Statement
Painted in 2019 for ‘Catching the Light', a solo exhibition at Chantry House Gallery. Taken from the city walls, this view looks down onto the gardens of Grays Court, beneath York Minster. When I was a student in York, the collage had use of Grays Court and I used to look out onto the city walls whilst daydreaming in English lectures.
